Magistrates ban driver, 45

DRINK-DRIVER Samantha Colwell has been banned from the roads.

The 45-year-old, of Runnymede, Fareham, admitted drink-driving in Sea Front, Hayling Island, on July 1.

She was driving a Mercedes when caught by police.

A test revealed she had 70 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, double the 35mg legal limit.

Portsmouth magistrates fined Colwell £280 with a 17-month driving ban.

She must pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
