Man, 40, arrested as more than 10 police raid property in Fareham

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with the intent to supply after police raided a property in Fareham.

Offices executed a warrant at an address on Gosport Road on Monday, as part of an ongoing investigation into a drug supply network.

A Twitter account run by Fareham police tweeted that the ‘isolated incident’ was ‘nothing to worry about’ – accompanied by a picture of more than 10 police officers with shields, protective vests, and helmets.

A quantity of suspected Class A drugs, cash, phones and other paraphernalia were seized during the warrant, according to a spokeswoman from Hampshire Constabulary.

She said: ‘A 40-year-old man from Fareham has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.

‘He remains in custody at this time.’
