Man, 60, is hospitalised after Waterlooville hit and run crash

A MAN has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Waterlooville.

A 60-year-old man, who lives in the town, was hit in Milton Road on Tuesday evening, at around 6.30pm.

The car he was hit by, described as a dark hatchback, did not stop.

A spokeswoman for Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘The pedestrian, a 60-year-old man from Waterlooville, was crossing the road when he was struck by a car.

‘The vehicle failed to stop at the scene, and the pedestrian was taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries.

‘Officers are investigating the exact circumstances of the collision and are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed it, or has dash-cam footage that may assist our investigation.’
