Man arrested on suspicion of assault after incident at The Crown Inn Wetherspoons pub in Fareham

Police were called to The Crown Inn in West Street on Sunday afternoon.
Officers arrested a 26-year-old man and he remains in custody at this time.

Hide AdA spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘We were called just before 3pm yesterday (August 9) to a report of an assault at a pub in West Street, Fareham.
‘Officers attended and a 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of common assault and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence.
‘He remains in custody.’
