A MAN has been accused of drink driving after several cars were crashed into in a city street.

On Thursday, February 11, police arrested a man in Westfield Road, Milton, after parked cars were hit by another vehicle.

Now, Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that a charge has been brought forward.

A spokesman for the police force said: ‘We were called at 2.31pm on Thursday, February 11, with reports of a collision in Westfield Road, Southsea, where it’s alleged an Audi A3 collided with a number of parked cars.

‘Thomas Paul Whitty, 33 of Lowestoft Drive in Slough, has been charged with drink driving, driving without a licence, and driving without insurance.

‘He has been bailed to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on May 17.’
