Man charged with assaulting two police officers in Fareham as they attend domestic incident

A MAN has appeared in court after being charged with assaulting two police officers during a domestic incident in Fareham town centre on Sunday.

Everton Brown, 53, of Raul Road, Peckham, London, has been charged with assault by beating, breaching a restraining order and two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker in relation to the incident.

He pleaded guilty to harassment and not guilty to the three other offences at at Portsmouth Magistrates Court today.

Brown has been released on conditional bail with a trial date set for April 28.

A spokeswoman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘We were called to a domestic incident at an address in Belvoir Close, Fareham, just after 10pm on Sunday 29 November.

‘Two officers who attended were assaulted by a man at the property.’

No-one was seriously injured during the incident.
