A MAN is in police custody after being arrested in a Hampshire drugs bust that saw up to 500 cannabis plants seized.

Police confirmed they confiscated between 400 and 500 plants following the raid at around 8am on Monday in Prince of Wales Avenue, Southampton.

A police drone team had identified an ‘unusual heat source’ and strong glow coming from the property.

A 26-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation after officers stormed the address.
