Man left with head injury after robbery in Gosport

A MAN has been left with a head injury after being assaulted and robbed by two others in Gosport.

Police officers are appealing for information after a 27-year-old man was robbed between 8.10pm and 8.20pm on Friday, May 22 in Rambler Drive, Rowner.

One of the men is described as being white, aged between 20-30 years old, 5ft 6in tall, slim with short black hair and wearing a zip up, waist length leather jacket.

A spokeswoman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘The man was approached by two men who assaulted him before stealing his bag and wallet which contained a number of cards including a bank card.

‘The victim sustained a minor head injury during the assault.

‘Were you in the area around this time? Did you see two men acting suspiciously or did you hear anything?’

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 101, quoting the crime reference number 44200182655.
