Man spared jail after disturbance at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth

A MAN who kicked off in a hospital terrifying waiting patients has been spared jail.

Benn Glanville, 22, was at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham when he 'made nasty threats' and had to be restrained on December 21, 2019.

He admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to a police officer to provoke fear of violence.

Glanville also admitted two charges of assault by beating in Renown Gardens, in Wecock Farm, and resisting a police officer.

Glanville, of Bunting Gardens, Wecock Farm, must pay a £122 surcharge and £310 costs. Portsmouth magistrates imposed a 14-week sentence suspended for a year with 20 days' rehabilitation activities.
