More CCTV released in Southsea rape investigation as police look for witnesses

Officers released four still images of possible witnesses yesterday linked to probe into the alleged August 29 attack on a 19-year-old woman.
It comes after a man appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court charged with rape.

Hide AdPosting on Twitter, Portsmouth police said: ‘Update with more images.
‘It’s an unusual request after we’ve made a charge, but we’d still like to hear from these men who may have seen something that could help us in our enquiries about a rape.’
The images were captured in Clarendon Road, Southsea, near where the alleged assault took place.

:: Muhib Uddin, 31,of Newcomen Road, Stamshaw, has been bailed to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on October 5 charged with rape. Three people previously arrested were told they faced no further action.
