Mother of Luke Fletcher pays tribute to teenager after Southwick crash

Those are the words of grieving mother Sarah Hiscutt paying tribute to her 19-year-old son Luke Fletcher.

He tragically died in a car crash on Saturday night in Southwick on the B2177.

In a statement issued by Hampshire police the teenager’s mother said: ‘He was a dear son, brother and friend, was full of life and a great person.’

She also released a photograph of her son, pictured above, as the police released his identity to the public.

The teenager, of Paulsgrove, Portsmouth, died after a silver Nissan Almera left the road at around 11.17pm near Pitymoor Lane.

A Hampshire police statement added: ‘Investigations into the collision are ongoing and officers are keen to speak to witnesses who may have seen the collision or the car before the incident occurred.’

Georgia Borrowdale, 18, has paid an emotional tribute to her friend.

• A 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving have been bailed.
