Motorist accused of driving 200mph in an Audi RS6 in Sussex

A MAN was allegedly clocked driving at speeds of up to 200mph in Sussex.

The incident is alleged to have happened on the M23 near Crawley during the first lockdown and involved a black Audi RS6

James Hollett, 39, of Grouse Road, Pease Pottage is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on August 4.

He has been charged after an investigation from Sussex Police.

Mr Hollett faces charges of dangerous driving, relating to speeding on the M23 on April 26, 2020, as well as aggravated vehicle taking, related to the same incident.

He has also been charged dangerous driving, relating to an incident on the A24 near Horsham on June 2, 2019.

Mr Hollett has been issued with a summons, authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service.
