Mugger steals electric scooter from woman in Havant

POLICE are appealing for information to track down a teenage male after a woman was pulled from her electric scooter before the assailant rode off on the vehicle.

After being pulled from her scooter ‘the woman was assaulted several times’. The incident was at 4.45pm on Tuesday on Stockheath Lane in Havant near the junction with Barncroft Road.

The woman suffered minor injuries.

The male was in his late teens, about 5ft 8in, white and slim. He was said to be wearing a black army jacket, black tracksuit trousers and a black hoody with the hood pulled up and a bag on his shoulder.

A statement from Hampshire police said: ‘We would like to speak with this man in connection with the incident. We would also like to speak to any witnesses that may have been in the area at the time or anyone that may have CCTV footage of the area.’
