A new scam is targeting Netflix users and police are warning people to be aware of it.Â

A new scam is targeting Netflix users

Fake emails have been sent claiming that there is a problem with your account with the streaming giant or that it has been suspended. 

The scam then encourages Netflix users to '˜update' their account in order to resolve the issue.

A new scam is targeting Netflix users

The scam emails include a link to a website which looks genuinely like Netflix but it is just a phishing site designed to steal your username and password as well as your payment details. 

Greater Manchester Police Sale have been warning people about the scam online. 

They have said: '˜Always question unsolicited requests  for your personal or financial information in case it's a scam.  

'Never automatically click on a link in an unexpected email or text.'
