Nimroy Hendricks: 14-year-old girl charged with murder of man in Crawley

A teenage girl has appeared after being charged with the murder of a man who was stabbed to death in West Sussex.

The 14-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared via videolink for the hearing at Hove Crown Court in connection with the death of Nimroy Hendricks.

The 24-year-old was found with stab wounds to the chest in Russell Way, Crawley, on October 27.

Despite being treated by paramedics and an air ambulance doctor, he died at the scene.

The defendant spoke only to confirm her name during the short hearing which was adjourned for a further hearing on January 22.

A preliminary trial date was set for June 7.

Judge Christine Laing QC told the teenager: ‘There is going to be another hearing and it can be in the same way by videolink.

‘You will remain in the care of the facility that you are at.’
