Paulsgrove man arrested over assault on girl, 16, while she was out with her baby son in a pram

A MAN has been arrested after a 16-year-old girl was assaulted while walking her baby son in a pram in Paulsgrove.

Police are investigating the incident that took place at around 8.30am last Friday in Ludlow Road.

The victim was pushing her baby son in a pram along Harleston Road when shes was approached by an 18-year-old man who is known to her.

The man proceeded to follow her along Washbrook Road before allegedly assaulting her in Ludlow Road, between the junctions of Bromyard Crescent and Blakemere Crescent.

Several members of the public attempted to intervene during the incident, according to police.

The girl, who received minor injuries as a result of the attack, took refuge in a nearby car park in Leominster Road until the man left the scene.

An 18-year-old man from Paulsgrove has been arrested for causing actual bodily harm while officers continue to investigate.

He has been bailed until August 21.

PSI Emily Brown, who is leading the investigation, said: ‘Several members of the public tried to intervene during the incident, and we would like to speak to all of them as part of our enquiries.

‘Did you see what happened? Do you have any CCTV, dashcam or doorbell camera footage of the incident?’
