Simon Hill, a 63-year-old computer programmer from Cosham, travelled down to Gosport last night to plan a photoshoot.
While he was down by the bus station, a blue Mercedes ploughed into his car in South Street, along with a silver Vauxhall and a nearby wall, causing tremendous damage.

He said: ‘I’m still quite shaken up by what happened.
‘I was down by the waterfront talking to another photographer when I heard this crash, which sounded like a low-flying plane, followed by a loud bang.
‘Someone came up to us and said there had been a nasty crash. I went over and saw my car had been crashed into and was now facing the other way and in the middle of the road.’
Photos taken at the scene show that Simon’s car, a blue Nissan Qashqai, has been crumpled on the front, back and sides.
He says the rear axle has also been seriously damaged.

‘I keep going through it in my head, thinking about how this crash could have happened.
‘They must have been going at a tremendous speed to do something like this.’
