Police advice after burglary
RESIDENTS are being reminded to keep their homes secure following a burglary in Hilsea over the weekend.
Hampshire Police have issued advice to help people protect their homes from opportunistic burglars.
This includes shutting and locking all windows and front and rear doors at night and when leaving the property, and leaving a light on if the house is unoccupied for the evening.
They also advise having an intruder alarm system installed by an approved contractor.
