Police appeal for woman in pink coat who witnessed 'incident' in Lee-on-the-Solent involving teenage girl and teenage boy

AFTER an ‘incident’ involving two teenagers, police are seeking a woman who may be a key witness.

Officers are looking for a woman, described as wearing a pink coat, who walked passed a teenage girl and teenage boy in Lee-on-the-Solent between 4.30pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday October 14 and witnessed an incident.

Police have not revealed what happened but said the incident took place on a cycle path by Skipper Way and Martlet Close.

The teenage boy, who was wearing a hoodie and grey tracksuit bottoms, had a small dog on a lead and the teenage girl was on a bicycle.

A police spokesman said: ‘We’re investigating an incident which took place on a cycle path in Lee-on-the-Solent, by Skipper Way and Martlet Close.

‘For operational reasons we can’t go into full details at this particular moment in time, but we’ve been told there is a key witness who saw what took place, and we are very keen to track this person down.

‘The incident in question took place some time between 4.30pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday, October 14 and involved a teenage girl and a teenage boy. The girl was on a bicycle and the boy, who was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a hoodie, had a small dog on a lead with him.

‘We are keen to speak with a woman who passed the two teenagers and walked into Martlet Close. She was described as wearing a pink coat.

‘Was this you? Can you tell us what you saw?

‘We appreciate this incident took place some time ago. Officers have been carrying out a number of enquiries in that time, but are now turning to the public’s help to try and find this witness.’
