Police arrest man, 38, in morning drug raid in Fratton

POLICE have arrested a 38-year-old man arrested on suspicion of dealing drugs during a morning raid on a property in Landport today.

The man was arrested at a property in Berkshire Close as officers executed a pre-planned drug warrant at 7.35am.

A spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘A number of items were seized from the property, including cannabis, a number of mobile phones and other drug-related paraphernalia.

‘A 38-year-old man from Portsmouth was arrested for possession of Class A and Class B controlled drugs and suspicion of possession with intent to supply.’

If found guilty, maximum sentence for the possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply is life imprisonment, while for Class B drug the maximum is a 14 year sentence.
