Police close Portsmouth street after incident

Officers have been at the scene in Buckland Street, just off Kingston Road in Buckland, since at least 8am.

A cordon remains in place and a police officer was also still at the scene just before noon.

The nature of the incident is not yet known.

The News has contacted Hampshire Constabulary for details about why the street has been cordoned off.
