Police hunt burglars after they break in through front door of Southsea property

BURGLARS have broken the front door of a Southsea property in an attempt to raid the premises.

Police were called to the address in Trevor Road just after 10pm on Monday.

The front door of the home had been broken – but nobody was injured during the incident and it is unclear if anything was taken.

A silver Astra was seen in the area at the time, according to a spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary.

He said: ‘We would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time and seen or heard anything.

‘We’re also seeking CCTV footage which may assist our enquiries.’
