Police hunt men after burglary at empty Portsmouth tower block Horatia House

POLICE are hunting thieves following a burglary at an empty tower block where water tanks were stolen.

Three men broke into derelict Horatia House, Meriden Road, Somers Town, on Saturday September 12 between 8.45pm and 9.20pm. Police released details today.

Several hours later, between 2am and 3.30am on the morning of Sunday September 13, they took some copper water tanks from the property.

It is thought they loaded the items into a large van or flatbed vehicle from the block, which is due to be taken down over safety fears.

CCTV images of two men seen in the area have been released by officers. The first man was in his mid to late 20s, about 6ft, white and stocky.

The second man was in his 20s, about 5ft 8in, white and slim.
