Police in Denmead dealing with 'serious collision'

Hampshire’s road policing officers are in Anmore Road, Denmead, after the ‘serious collision’ at about 12.30pm today.
At the scene, three police cars were parked on the side of the road, just east of the junction between Martin Avenue and Anmore Road.

Hide AdAmbulances were in the street earlier, and firefighters arrived while the police were clearing the area.
One neighbour told The News that she had seen a big rush of people following the crash.
Two others said they saw the air ambulance helicopter but said that ‘many in the village are still speculating’ about what happened.
One Facebook commenter on the Waterlooville Police page said: 'Oh dear, I heard all the sirens going.’

Hide AdA Hampshire police spokeswoman said: ‘We are currently dealing with a serious collision on Anmore Road, Denmead, that happened at around 12.30pm today.
‘Anyone with information is asked to phone 101 with the reference 831 of today’s date.
‘Officers will be in the area conducting enquiries, and we thank the public for their patience as we deal with this incident.’
