Police praise public for helping to find missing man in Portsmouth

POLICE have praised the people of Portsmouth to helping them find a missing man.

Farai Manungo had been staying at an address in Cottage Grove, Southsea, in the last few days.

But the 29-year-old has vanished and police launched an appeal for help in finding him.

A spokesman for Hampshire police said: ‘We are now concerned for his welfare, and he is no longer at the address and has not been in contact with anyone for several hours.

‘Officers are making enquiries and it is believed he would have last been in the area of Queen Alexandra Hospital.

‘We are now turning to the public for assistance.’

Within hours of the public appeal being sent out, officers received the vital clue about Mr Manungo’s whereabouts.

Police confirmed the 29-year-old had been found and thanked the public for sharing their appeal.
