Officers investigating the collision are keen to speak with anyone who saw the silver, 2005-plate Polo in the moments before the collision, or anyone who witnessed the incident itself.

They also want to hear from anyone with CCTV footage from the area or dash cam footage.

It was the third time in two years that a car has driven into the outside of the nursery – with Portsmouth City Council having approved new safety measures for the road on December 17.
