Portchester man in shock after car smashes into bus outside his house

Phil Marlow, 33, was eating his dinner when he heard ‘an almighty bang’ outside of his Station Road house at 6pm this evening.

Phil said: ‘I ran outside and it looked like a car had come round the corner and crashed into the front of a bus. Three people got out of the car and began to run off. There was an off-duty police officer who managed to grab one of the people running away.

‘An ambulance was soon on the scene but the bus driver appeared to be really shook up.’

The police have been contacted for further details of the incident.
