Portsmouth Billy Green murder probe: Victim's younger brother in court charged with fatal stabbing

Lewis Green, 23, of Tewkesbury Close, Paulsgrove, appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court today accused over the fatal stabbing of Billy Green, 26, on Monday.
The victim died outside Pickwick House in Wingfield Street, Buckland, after police were called at 12.43pm.

Hide AdDespite best efforts from passers-by and paramedics Mr Green died at the scene.


Green was flanked by dock officers for the brief hearing, prosecuted by Graham Heath and represented by solicitor Sarah Hallett.
He is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Monday.
Chairwoman of the magistrates’ bench Sarah Wigley said: ‘Mr Green your case has been sent to the crown court on Monday, January 18 at 10 o’clock.
‘We are unable to consider bail in the magistrates’ court because you have been charged with murder.’
He was then sent down to the cells.
