Portsmouth dangerous dog owner told to pay £1,500 - Portsmouth Magistrates' Court update

Laura-Jane Hargraves, 27, of Abbeydore Road, Paulsgrove, admitted two charges of cocaine drug-driving on the M275 in Portsmouth on January 31.

She admitted cannabis drug-driving too.

Magistrates banned her for 18 months with a £92 fine.

She must pay £32 surcharge and £85 costs.

Rhys Reeve, 33, of Sedgley Close, Somers Town, admitted cannabis drug-driving in Bedhampton Road, Bedhampton, on February 7.

He admitted having two bags of herbal cannabis.

Magistrates fined him £120 with a 12-month ban.

He must pay a £32 surcharge and £85 costs.

An order was made that the drug must be forfeited and destroyed.

Clayton Roberts, 27, of Turner Avenue, Gosport, admitted damaging a Peugeot 206 in Gosport on January 25.

He must pay £350 compensation and £85 costs.

Oliver Newton, 18, of Burgundy Close, Locks Heath, admitted two charges of cocaine drug-driving in Warsash Road, Warsash, on January 25.

He also admitted ketamine drug-driving on the same day.

Magistrates fined him £200 with a £32 surcharge and £85 costs.

He was banned from driving for 16 months.

Caroline Eastwood, 39, of Waterloo Close, Waterlooville, admitted being the owner of a dangerous dog – Spencer, a Lurcher and English Bull Terrier cross that injured a woman.

Magistrates ordered Eastwood to pay £1,500 compensation to the victim, and £85 costs.

She must now keep Spencer on a fixed lead with a box type muzzle.

Gary Black, 64, of Tokio Road, Copnor, admitted having less than a gram of crack cocaine, a class A drug, on October 7 last year in Portsmouth.

Black must pay a £120 fine with £32 surcharge and £85 costs.

An order was made that the drug must be forfeited and destroyed.

Charlie Butt, 24, of Earlswood Park, New Milton, admitted using threatening, abusive words or behaviour causing harassment, alarm or distress on December 11 last year.

He admitted causing a danger to other road users in Kingston Road/London Roda, and damaging a holding cell window.

Magistrates imposed an 18-month conditional discharge with £21 surcharge and £85 costs.

He must pay £50 for the police window.
