Portsmouth man bailed following death of Waterlooville woman in A3 tragedy
Laura Westbrook, 22, died of serious injuries after her car was involved in an incident with a black Ford Focus heading southbound near Clanfield at 11.05pm on Thursday. There is no evidence to suggest the two vehicles collided.
Hampshire Constabulary has today revealed that the driver of the Focus, a 26-year-old man from Portsmouth, has been bailed until December 15 pending further enquiries.

Hide AdHe has been arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs, in connection with possessing a quantity of a class B drug – cannabis – and causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.
Popular Laura was on her way back from work at Estee Lauder’s Whitman Laboratories plant in Petersfield when her white Vauxhall Corsa came off the carriageway and ended up on its roof. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Laura’s best friends, Amy Rose and Maria Featherstone, have already paid tribute to their ‘gem’ who they were planning to go on holiday with in January.
In a statement, the pair said: ‘You can’t put our Laura into words, she was one of a kind. She loved to travel – we were planning to go to Rome in January.

A memorial drinks gathering is to be held next weekend to celebrate Laura’s life.
