MAGISTRATES have jailed a man who threatened to stab his own mother after she refused to give him cash.

Dylan Proudley, 21, of no fixed address, asked his mother in Portsmouth for the money on September 28.

When she refused he threatened to stab her and then assaulted his father in a 'sustained way and smashed a window,' Portsmouth magistrates said.

He was jailed for eight weeks and banned under a two-year restraining order from contacting his parents.

He admitted assault by beating and must pay £100 compensation for carrying out the assault.
