Portsmouth meat thief spared jail
MEAT thief Patrick Clarke was handed a suspended sentence.
The 36-year-old, of Maydam Square, Baffins, admitted theft of meat worth £67.80 at Sainsbury’s in Southsea on January 28.
Portsmouth magistrates imposed a six-week prison sentence suspended for a year.
He must pay £67.80 compensation to the shop for the theft.
