Portsmouth police arrest three men from Leeds in connection with West Yorkshire robbery

POLICE in Portsmouth have arrested three men from Leeds in connection with a robbery in West Yorkshire.

Officers on patrol in Fratton intercepted a vehicle that was wanted by West Yorkshire Police, arresting three men in Fratton Road shortly after 6.30pm yesterday.

A 28-year-old man from Leeds was arrested on suspicion of being unlikely to surrender to custody in breach of bail conditions.

He appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates Court this morning.

A 23-year-old man from Leeds was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit robbery and assisting an offender.

A 32-year-old man from Leeds was arrested on suspicion of robbery.

A spokeswoman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘All three have now been transferred to West Yorkshire Police as part of their investigation.’
