Portsmouth thief stole Great Ormond Street Hospital charity tins

A MAN has admitted stealing two charity tins that were helping to raise cash for sick children.

Jamie Plaice, 34, took two tins collecting donations for Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

He committed the theft on January 16 in Portsmouth.

Magistrates handed him a community order with a drug rehabilitation requirement.

He must complete 30 days of rehabilitation activities and pay £50 compensation. Plaice, of Waverley Road, Southsea, admitted theft at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.
