A WOMAN has been charged with failing to do a breathalyser test after a car hit a lamppost outside a student hall in Portsmouth.

Louise Hounsell of Britain Street, Portsmouth has been charged with failing to provide a specimen to police following the incident in Stanhope Road yesterday afternoon.

The 35-year-old has been bailed and is due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on March 3.

A police spokesman said: ‘We have charged Louise Elizabeth Hounsell of Britain Street, Portsmouth with failing to provide a specimen. She has been bailed.’

She was arrested yesterday.
