Police are hunting Jay Davis, 33, who is wanted for absconding from Ford Prison, West Sussex.

Davis went missing around 8am on Monday October 12 before he was seen on CCTV at Chichester Railway Station.

The fugitive, who has links to Hampshire and Sussex, was serving a sentence for possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

He is described as 5ft 6in, of slim build, with brown hair.

‘Anyone who sees him is advised not to approach him, but to dial 999 immediately,’ a Sussex police statement said.

‘If you see him in Sussex please use the reference 47200176527.
