Rider banned after crashing near pedestrian crossing

A MOTORCYCLIST has been banned from driving after crashing.

Reece Steel, 22, of Goodwood Road, Gosport, was found guilty of driving without due care and attention.

He was riding a motorcycle when he drove with excessive speed on the wrong side of the road approaching a pedestrian crossing and crashed into a vehicle turning into a side road.

It happened in Titchfield Road in Stubbington on May 23 last year. Fareham magistrates fined him £450 and banned him for six months. Steel must pay £620 prosecution costs and a £45 victim surcharge.
