Robbery in Southsea Costcutter leaves staff 'shaken'

POLICE have released pictures of two men they would would like to speak to after a Costcutter was robbed in Southsea.

The shop, on the corner of Outram Road and Victoria Road North, was robbed by two masked men at 11pm on Monday.

One of the men stayed at the door as a look-out while the other threatened staff, went behind the counter, and stole cash from the till.

The pair fled the store, leaving staff unhurt but ‘shaken,’ according to a police spokeswoman.

The spokeswoman for Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘Officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously outside of the store last night.

He said: ‘While the images are not clear, we’re hoping someone might recognise something about the clothing worn by both men.
