A man has been charged with stealing more than £400 of alcohol from a supermarket.

Police were called to the Sainsbury’s store on Hambledon Road at 2.30pm on Monday afternoon (December 19).

Robert Fletcher, 44, of Monarch Close has been charged with theft and is due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court today.
