Sister hoping witnesses come forward after attack on brother in Fareham

A man was left with a swollen jaw after being punched in the face in the early hours.

A statement from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘We received a report that a man in his 20s was punched in the face in West Street, Fareham, by another man who was part of a group of people. This took place shortly before 1am on Saturday, August 15.

‘Officers have been making enquiries and at this time the incident has been filed pending any further information coming to light that could assist police.’

The sister of the victim has said she has been left ‘angered’ by the attack after describing her brother as a ‘kind and quiet man’ and hopes witnesses will come forward.

She added: ‘He has been left with bruises and a swollen jaw.’
