Southsea seafront attack after four-man brawl spills out of home into seafront

A YOUNG man was seriously injured after a four-person brawl spilled out in the street, police said.

An initial ‘altercation’ involved four men at a home in Alhambra Road, Southsea, on the evening of Saturday, April 17 between 8.30pm and 9.40pm.

But then one man chased the victim, in his 20s, down toward the seafront – assaulting him and leaving him with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police officers are keen to hear from a man seen in the area at the time who left the scene in a silver BMW 1 Series.

He was around 23, about 6ft 1in, white and of medium build. He was wearing a black tracksuit and black baseball cap.

Investigating officers would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have mobile phone or dash cam footage of the incident.
