Suspicious incidents spark warning
The spate of incidents is being investigated by police in Waterlooville.
In one case, a man knocked at the door of a house in Shakespeare Gardens and claimed he his home had had a power cut.

Hide AdHe asked to put meat in the homeowner’s freezer and also asked to use the toilet.
Instead of letting him in the homeowner called the police.
The man was white, in his late 20s to early 30s, about 5ft 9in, with dark brown hair which was long on the top and shaved on the sides.
The male spoke with a southern accent, possibly from Surrey, and was wearing dark clothing, puffer jacket and trousers.
PC Matt James, from Waterlooville police, said: ‘Always check the credentials of unknown callers. Never employ cold-calling doorstep traders or engage with cold callers on the phone.
‘Always keep front and back doors locked.’
