Teenagers arrested for attempted murder after Gosport stabbing

A PAIR of teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing earlier this month.

In the early hours of Saturday, July 11, a large fight broke out in Forton Road, Gosport, during which a 41-year-old man was stabbed in the arm.

He was taken to hospital for emergency treatment, with some serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Now, Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that two teenagers have been arrested.

A spokeswoman for the police force said: ‘Two 16-year-old boys, one from Fareham and one from Gosport, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

‘They have been released on police bail as enquiries continue.’

Anyone with information about the attack earlier this month is asked to call Hampshire Constabulary on 101, quoting the crime reference number 44200255624.
