Portsmouth magistrates jailed him for three months concurrent for each offence.

He struck on February 12, February 11, March 24 and June 25. He targeted Wilko, Asda, Tesco and Co-op stores in the area.

He also admitted breaching a conditional discharge for theft and was resentenced to three months concurrent for the April 5 offence.

His guilty plea was taken into account at sentencing.

He was jailed due to his previous history of offending, the court ruled.
