Thief must pay £24
A MAN stole nearly £50 of household items from a shop.
John Bird, 25, admitted theft at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.
He must pay £24.16 compensation within 14 days.
Bird, of Avenue Road, Haringey, London, stole the items on February 13 at a Co-op in Southsea.
His guilty plea was taken into account when he was sentenced.
