Three teenagers arrested after car crashed into wall of Gosport house

THREE teenagers and a man have been arrested after a car crashed into a house in Gosport.

The incident in Varos Close, Forton, at 11pm left a gaping hole in the side of the house, with reports of people fleeing the vehicle.

Now, police have arrested one man and three teenagers in connection with the crash.

A spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘We were called just after 11pm to a report of a collision in Varos Close.

‘It was reported a car had collided with a house. Officers attended and a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and driving a motor vehicle dangerously, and theft of a motor vehicle.

‘He has been released under investigation.

‘A further three people have been arrested today.

‘An 18 year old woman and two 16-year-old boys, all from Gosport, have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking.’

The teenagers are in custody.

The residents have been left shaken by the incident.

The resident declined to speak with The News about the damage but posted on Facebook.She said her family will ‘be ok somehow’.She said: ‘This was our house and car. Were ok, just shook up.’She added: ‘We’ve no home to go to. My cars a write off. I’m truly devastated.’She added: ‘Can’t believe it’s happened.’Other people have said they are shocked by the incident.Sarah Woodcock said: ‘That must have been what we heard not fireworks.’Ally Lambell added: ‘Thank goodness you’re all ok. It’s annoying but repairable.’Dorothy Rose added: ‘Hope you are all ok and insurance gets house sorted quickly.’A nearby resident, 34, who did not want to be named, said: ‘All I know was (there was a) loud bang and music blaring.

‘Then I went to have a look what happened and saw the people running off through the estate and the car had hit the wall.’
