POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the death of a woman after being hit by a car in Waterlooville on Friday.

The woman was hit by a car and died from her injuries near the footbridge that across the A3(M) between Tempest Avenue and the Warren in Leigh Park at 11:55pm on Friday.

A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘The woman, who is believed to be in her 30s, has yet to be formally identified.’
