Tributes to 'wonderful' granddad who died in Petersfield crash

TRIBUTES have been paid to a ‘wonderful’ grandfather who died in a crash.

Reginald John Kemp was pronounced dead after a collision involving his Nissan Micra and a Ford Ranger in London Road, Petersfield, just after 4.30pm last Thursday.

Mr Kemp who was 86 and lived in Lydnum Close.

His family have now paid tribute to him, saying: ‘Reginald John Kemp, known as John, sadly taken from us on Thursday 17 September.

‘A loving husband to Magarette, caring father to Jacqueline and Karen, and a wonderful grandfather to seven grandchildren, and great-grandfather to six great-grandchildren.

‘Fondly remembered by the whole family.

‘May you rest in peace.’

A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary added: ‘Officers investigating the exact circumstances of the collision remain keen to speak with anyone who can assist their enquiries.

‘If you witnessed the collision, or saw the Micra, which had been following a second car in the lead up to the collision, or the Ranger prior to the incident, please contact us.’
