Two men found guilty of attempted murder after Petersfield stabbing

TWO men have been found guilty by a jury of attempted murder.

Shaun Charles Hanson, 50, of Fern Close, Petersfield, and Anthony John Seymour, 22, of Rival Moor Road, Petersfield, had both previously denied the charge.

But yesterday, at Winchester Crown Court, the pair were found guilty at the culmination of an eight-day trial.

At 1.08am on Wednesday, May 20, a 33-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in Durford Road in Petersfield.

He was rushed to hospital for treatment and a police investigation was launched by Hampshire Constabulary.

Hanson and Seymour have been remanded in custody to appear at Winchester Crown Court for sentence on Tuesday, December 22.
