Woman, 40, flees knife-wielding robber after being ambushed in alleyway in Leigh Park
A WOMAN ambushed in an alleyway by a knife-wielding robber managed to run away from her attacker, police have said.
The assault took place between Greywell Road and Basing Road, Leigh Park, between 4-4.30pm on Wednesday.
The 40-year-old victim was ‘threatened’ by a stranger with a knife, who demanded she handed over her possessions.

Hide AdThe woman managed to run away, having received minor injuries. Nothing was taken.
Her attacker was aged between 30 and 40, of large build, and wearing a dark hoody and trousers and a blue/black scarf.
